The Lazy Girl's Guide to Nail Care

When it comes to their daily beauty regimen, many women often overlook nail care. However, just like the face, hair and skin, nails are an important part of a girl’s overall appearance - and they deserve a little TLC.

Fortunately, implementing a nail care routine doesn’t have to be time-consuming or complicated. Here are some “lazy girl” tips to help you improve the health and appearance of your nails with minimal effort:

1. Perform regular nail maintenance

Regular maintenance will help keep your nails hydrated, strong and healthy - so make sure you don’t skip it.

Set aside some time each week to trim, file, exfoliate and moisturise your nails. A good time to do this is right before bed - it’s a great way to relax after a long, busy day.

Try this: Soak your nails in a bowl of freshly-squeezed orange juice for about 10 minutes, then rinse and soak them in a bowl of olive oil. Do this 2-3 times a week for healthier, shinier nails.

6. Avoid harsh nail polishes

Always check the label before buying, and avoid products which contain toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) or xylene.
